Sichuan China
Sichuan Province is one of the Largest Province of China. It has an area of about 485,000 km². Its land slopes from west to east on the entire and the main landforms contain magnificent plains, superb hills, beautiful mountains and amazing plateaus. The average annual temperature of Sichuan is 14℃ to 19℃ and the annual rainfall is 900 to 1,200 millimeters. Sichuan has been the gateway to Tibet. Tourists can experience customs and living habits of the Tibetan population here too. Its capital city is Chengdu. The city is the cultural and industrial center for the agricultural Chengdu Plain. It has also been well-known for its luxurious satins, brocades, and lacquer ware since the 13th century. Sadly according to Xinhua News Agency, about 7.0 magnitude of earthquake hit the Lushan County of Ya’an City in Sichuan Province on April 20, 2013 killing 196 people.
